5 Reasons To Maintan

As we all know prevention is better than cure. This is definitely the case when it comes to your businesses Air Conditioning & Ventilation system.

When it comes to the servicing of your buildings HVAC plant there is a tendency for “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” approach.

Take a look at why planned preventative maintenance will not only save you money but also aid your employee’s productivity.

  1. Maintenance will increase the longevity of Equipment
Regular servicing your equipment will highlight any potential issues.  Catching a problem early on can mean the difference between replacing a minor part and replacing a complete system.

  2. Servicing your equipment will improve performance.
If you can improve the performance of your equipment, you will be saving money. The harder your equipment has to work, the more power it will consume. There can be a multitude of areas that can affect the performance of your equipment, from a simple blocked filter to an incorrectly configured centralised programming unit. By having regular checks, you can prevent un- necessary inefficiencies.

  3. Keeping your HVAC equipment happy will also keep your employees happy
Keeping the climate in your office at an ideal temperature with good air quality can only be good for productivity and morale. If your system is not well maintained the air can be more polluted inside your building, than outside it. This can cause health problems with people with allergies and can also transmit colds etc. through your building.

  4. Your manufacturer’s warranty depends on it.
Your manufacturer will need proof that your kit has been regularly serviced. If you try to claim on a warranty and your maintenance regime does not include your faulty equipment you may well have an unnecessary cost on your hands.

  5. Keeping your FGAS register up to date.
FGAS legislation may require you to keep records and perform regular refrigeration leak tests. If you are unsure whether this applies to you, contact us and we can advise.

As you can see there are many benefits to keeping your HVAC equipment regularly maintained. It will save you money in the long run.
